SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Three Colorado residents have been arrested on suspicion of bringing a 14-year-old girl to Utah for prostitution.
KSL-TV reports 28-year-old Roscoe Gallman of Colorado Springs, 20-year-old Abelina Roybal of Denver and 24-year-old Sasha Montiel were arrested Saturday at a Salt Lake City motel. They face aggravated exploitation of a minor, money laundering and identity fraud charges, among others. Authorities did not provide hometowns for Montiel or the teen girl.
Salt Lake County authorities say detectives were tipped off because the two women and the teen girl had posted online advertisements for escort services.
Officials say the teen girl was a runaway and has been taken into protective custody. It wasn’t immediately clear is any of the suspects had attorneys.
