DENVER (CBS4) – A man accused of bringing a teen from Arizona to Colorado and pimping the girl out for prostitution has been convicted on all counts against him.
According to Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney’s office, Thomas White, 36, was found guilty of pimping of a child, pandering of a child, procurement of a child, keeping a place of child prostitution and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“White met the 17-year-old victim in Arizona in July 2012 and brought her to Colorado to perform acts of prostitution from which he took all of the money. White and the victim were both arrested shortly after arriving in Denver,” Kimbrough said in a statement. “White was initially arrested for aggravated motor vehicle theft and the juvenile victim was taken into custody as a reported runaway. During the juvenile intake process, she disclosed that she had been prostituted, prompting an investigation by the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force.”
Two of White’s additional victims testified against him during the trial.
White is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 5 for a habitual criminal trial and sentencing. He faces 48 mandatory 48 years in prison if convicted as a habitual criminal.
